The presentation and discussion will be focused on the manifesto exhibition currently on display at the Factory and the publication of Pure Hardcore Icons: A Manifesto on Pure Form in Architecture (London: Artifice Books, 2013).

You are welcome to visit the exhibition before the talk.

Pure Hardcore Icons Manifesto Exhibition Opens

The Manifesto Exhibition Pure Hardcore Icons opened at The Factory in Dashilar to initiate the 2013 version of Beijing Design Week. The exhibition includes the original collages from the book Pure Hardcore Icons (Artifice Books on Architecture, 2013), as well as sculpture/objects, animations, and paintings by Garcia Frankowski. 

The Official Book release and Lecture is scheduled for October 3, at 6:00pm.

Pure Hardcore Icons Manifesto Exhibition Opens Today in Beijing Design Week

WAI is  glad to invite you to the Opening of ‘Pure Hardcore Icons Manifesto Exhibition’. The exhibition will be on display from Sept 25 to October 7 as part of this year’s Beijing Design Week.

Commemorating the international publication the book ‘Pure Hardcore Icons: A Manifesto on Pure Form on Architecture’ (Published by Artifice Books on Architecture in London, 2013), the exhibition showcases original collages and photomontages, as well as objects, sculptures, paintings and animations by Cruz Garcia and Nathalie Frankowski (WAI Architecture Think Tank).

WALLS ISLANDS FRAMES MIRRORS CLOSES WITH A DEBATE, TYPO OPENS IN LA PRODUCTORA

As part of the Walls Islands Frames Mirrors exhibition, the discussion “Two Practices, Four Words, Multiple Questions” was held with the participation of Cruz Garcia and Nathalie Frankowski (WAI Architecture Think Tank), Guido Tesio (Ganko), Zhang Ke (standardarchitecture), co-curator Zhang Yanping, and moderator Felix Cruz Marcos. That very same day (Aug. 31) , although half a world away the exhibition of creative collectives TYPO opened in La Productora in Santurce, Puerto Rico. TYPO features works  of WAI.
